Domain Name services

UHI operates a Domain Name registration service on behalf of appropriate organisations and is a Nominet Member and Tag Holder.

UHI is able to register Domain Names with Nominet in the .org.uk, .co.uk , .sch.uk, .gov.uk , .ac.uk , and .net.uk name spaces. Registrations are normally only provided as part of the service of providing a Network Connection.

Please note that UHI does not offer a commercial domain name registration service to organisations other than those to whom it is able to provide network connections.

As a Nominet UK 'Tag Holder' UHI has a commitment to make our customers, on whose behalf we may apply to Nominet  to register a .uk Domain Name, aware of Nominet's terms and conditions before the applicants apply to register a Domain Name.

Domain Names registered by UHI are served and managed by UHI on our dedicated Name Servers. DNS service on IP addresses 194.35.200.250 and 194.35.192.250 are available for use by all users on UHI-connected networks.
